## 4.37.0

## Technical Note: New Standard for E-Mail Headers and Footers

Enhanced Component Policies

We introduced a standardized Approach for reusable Email Structures to ensure Brand Consistency.

- **Focus on Content:** Editors only maintain the E-Mail Body. Structural Elements (Head, Header, Footer) are now managed centrally via Content Fragments.
- **Automatic Injection:** The Template automatically injects the correct Header and Footer based on your Tenant Configuration (CAC).
- **Safe Configuration:** The Dropdown only shows Fragments relevant to your specific Site to prevent Misconfiguration.
- **Backward Compatibility:** Existing Newsletters remain unaffected and will use the previous Rendering Logic if no Fragment is selected.

## Default UI-KIT Version

##### Default Version for Release: eon-ui-kit v_4.37.0

All AEM Releases are tested against a default UI-Kit Version, which is set in CAC MultiBrandMainConfig as **Fallback**. If CAC MultiBrandMainConfig is not set manually, then this Version will be set for your Website.

Solutions having their own UI-Kit (e.g. Suewag, Energiewacht) will always have to update manually.

## 1. Features

All Features will be documented in the Foundation Showroom (latest three Weeks after the Release).

#### 1.1 Contact Redirect

We introduced the new Contact Redirect Component to enable efficient Form E-Mail Routing based on User Selections. This Feature allows Content Editors to configure a Dropdown with Topic-to-Email Mappings, ensuring that Form Submissions are automatically routed to the correct Mailbox.

#### 1.2 Generic Email Template with Locked Header/Footer

We implemented a Generic E-Mail Template with Locked Header and Footer regions to streamline the Creation of Brand-consistent E-Mails. This Feature allows Editors to select predefined Header and Footer Elements from a central Library while focusing exclusively on editing the E-Mail Body.

[EONWCMS-139](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-139?src=confmacro)

#### 1.3 Related Articles

We introduced the new Related Articles Component, which is a Carousel Variant of the existing Content Aggregator. This Feature allows Content Editors to display the latest or related Articles consistently on Blog Detail Pages by selecting between 3 or 6 visible Items. The Component includes configurable Options for Autoplay Speeds and specific Layout Settings.

## 2. Enhancements

## 2.1 Java Upgrade from 11 to 21

We upgraded the Java Version for the AEMaaCS Project from Java 11 to Java 21 to align with Adobe's latest Cloud Manager Support. This Step provides access to a more performant Runtime and modern Features like Pattern Matching and Sealed Classes. The Upgrade involved adjusting the Maven Configuration and Dependencies, ensuring that the Project successfully builds and deploys within Cloud Manager Pipelines without functional Regressions.

## 2.2 Normalize and Migrate Dialog Properties Using "default" Value

We performed a Cleanup and Normalization of Dialog Properties to reduce the use of hard-coded Default Values within AEM Dialogs and Configurations. By removing unnecessary literal Values and allowing the UI-Kit to handle Default Behavior, we have improved Consistency and Maintainability across various Components, such as the Video Player, Page Header, and Headline.

## 2.3 Rich Text Tooltip Option for Info Icons

We extended the Info Icon Configuration in AEM Dialogs to include a new Rich Text Tooltip Option. This Enhancement allows Editors to choose between displaying Information via a Modal, a plain Tooltip, or a Tooltip powered by an Experience Fragment.

[EONWCMS-295](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-295?src=confmacro)

## 2.4 Page Header | Hide Image on mobile

We added a new Property to the Page Header, Hero Section, and Stage Components to allow for optimized Mobile Viewports. Editors can now select a Checkbox to hide Header Images on Mobile Devices, which reduces the Header Height and improves the Area above the Fold.

[EONWCMS-324](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-324?src=confmacro)

## 2.5 Hide Tab Navigation

We updated the Component Policies to hide the Tab Navigation from Selection in order to prevent its Use in new Implementations. While the Component is no longer available for Policy-based Assignment, the underlying Code remains unchanged to ensure full Backward Compatibility for existing Pages.

## 3. Bug Fixes

by Foundation & OPS Team

## 3.1 Experience Fragment Component not visible in Author Mode

We resolved a Bug where the Experience Fragment Component was not visible in the Editor after an Authoring Value had been assigned.

[EONWCMS-400](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-400?src=confmacro)

## 3.2 Automation | 'Number Prefix Comparison' field Values reset in Author Dialog

We fixed a Bug in the Automation Components where the Number Prefix Comparison Field Values were being reset to None within the Author Dialog.

[EONWCMS-110](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-110?src=confmacro)

## 3.3 After automatic Reload not all Components showing

We resolved a Bug where not all Components were displayed after an automatic Page Reload following a Copy-and-Paste Action.

[EONWCMS-388](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-388?src=confmacro)

## 3.4 Error: missing body.socialmedia_end.html

We resolved a recurring Technical Error in the Sightly Logs where the System failed to locate the Script body.socialmedia_end.html. The Fix involved creating the missing File to suppress the Error Message without introducing any Changes to the Implementation Logic or Rendering.
