## 4.41.0

## Information

Migration Script Execution needed

As part of this Release, a Migration Script must be executed to remove existing Standalone mTCaptcha Components from Forms to prevent Duplication.

Captcha is now centrally managed and automatically injected via CAC when a Captcha Key is configured.

## Default UI-KIT Version

##### Default Version for Release: eon-ui-kit v_4.41.0

All AEM Releases are tested against a default UI-Kit Version, which is set in CAC MultiBrandMainConfig as **Fallback**. If CAC MultiBrandMainConfig is not set manually, then this Version will be set for your Website.

Solutions having their own UI-Kit (e.g. Suewag, Energiewacht) will always have to update manually.

## 1. Features

All Features will be documented in the Foundation Showroom (latest three Weeks after the Release).

4 min read

#### 1.1 New Article Meta Bar

We delivered the Article Meta Bar Component which displays estimated Reading Time and a device-generic Share Action. This Feature uses a server-side Calculation to show the Reading Time and utilizes the native Web Share API to allow Visitors to distribute Content easily using their canonical URL.

[EONWCMS-24](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-24)

#### 1.2 Introduction of the new "Blog/News Container" Layout Component

We introduced the Blog/News Container Component to automatically generate predefined Page Layouts, including Grids, Reading Time, and Related Articles. This Feature speeds up Content Creation by pre-configuring the Component Tree with placeholder Content for Editors.

[EONWCMS-625](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-625)

#### 1.3 New Blog Header

We present our new Blog Header Component.

It use existing Press and Event Details as a single Source of Truth for Article Metadata.

This Update introduces server-side Fallback Logic for Headlines and Abstracts, alongside new Configuration Checkboxes that allow Editors to control individual Element Visibility and centrally manage Content Consistency across the Platform.

## 2. Enhancements

## 2.1 Content Header - Adjust Label for better Editor Guidance

We updated the Image Appearance Label within the Content Header Dialog to provide better Editor Guidance. This Change clarifies how the Field affects Text and CTA Colors based on the Background Image without altering the underlying Frontend Behavior.

[EONWCMS-794](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-794)

## 2.2 Centralized Captcha Configuration in CAC (mTCaptcha)

We centralized the mtcaptcha Configuration within the central admin Configuration to automatically protect all Foundation Forms without manual per-form Setup. This Update ensures consistent Security by injecting captcha before the Submit Button and eliminating redundant Components via an automated Migration Script.

[EONWCMS-448](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-448)

## 2.3 Enhancements for Read More Component

We implemented technical Changes for the Readmore Component to adjust its collapsed Height Behavior. This Task involved merging a specific Code Update to ensure the Component renders correctly according to the updated Design Specifications within the Foundation Frame.

[EONWCMS-840](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-840)

## 2.4 Implementation of Optional Internal Names/Values for Form Options.

We added optional internal Name and Value Fields to Form Components to support machine-readable Backend Submissions. This Feature allows Administrators to define technical secondary Values via a new Configuration Checkbox without changing user-facing Labels.

[EONWCMS-707](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-707)

## 2.5 Width and Height Properties for Logo in Navigation

We enhanced the Logo Component by exposing intrinsic Width and Height Properties directly within the AEM Dialog. This Update allows Editors to define specific Dimensions for Logo Images, ensuring the Frontend renders them with the correct Sizing and Proportions automatically.

[EONWCMS-775](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-775)

## 3. Bug Fixes

by Foundation & OPS Team

## 3.1 Updated Web Main Navigation to not allow multiple Logos

We resolved a Bug in the Web Main Navigation to prevent the Addition of multiple Logos within the Component. This Update ensures that only one Logo can be configured per Navigation Instance, maintaining the correct Layout and visual Consistency across all Pages.

[EONWCMS-802](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-802)

## 3.2 Cleaned up theme.json by removing hover Color Options for Tiles Teasers.

We removed the Hover Color Options for the Tiles Teaser with Image within the theme.json Configuration as Colors are not usable anymore.

This Change ensures that the AEM Dialog only displays functional Settings, as the Component now uses a Standard Darkening Effect on Hover instead of manual Color Selection.

[EONWCMS-790](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-790)

## 3.3 Resolved Errors on Components supporting RTE Text.

We resolved a high-priority Bug affecting the Rich Text Editor where strict Link Validation prevented Editors from saving or publishing Pages. By reverting the generic Internal Link Validation, we unblocked Content Teams and ensured that existing Links no longer trigger unexpected Errors during the Editing Process.

[AEMPS-550](https://jira.eon.com/browse/AEMPS-550)

## 3.4 Fixed Alignment Issues for additional Text within the Text Teaser Component.

We resolved a Bug where the Right Alignment of extra Text within a Text Teaser was lost upon Publishing. This Update ensures that Alignment Settings configured in the Editor are correctly reflected on live Environments, maintaining visual Consistency across all Columns in a Grid regardless of the Content Length or specific Character Combinations.

[AEMPS-512](https://jira.eon.com/browse/AEMPS-512)

## 3.5 Fixed Script Code leakage on published Pages when using Video Player in Box Components.

We fixed a Bug where technical Script Code was visibly rendered on published Pages when a Video Player was placed inside a Box Component with Microschema enabled. This Update ensures that all Code remains hidden and the Video Player renders correctly within structured Layouts, maintaining a clean User Experience on live Environments.

[AEMPS-498](https://jira.eon.com/browse/AEMPS-498)

## 3.6 Resolved Menu highlighting Issues

We fixed a Bug in the Web Navigation where multiple Menu Items were being highlighted simultaneously if Naming starts with more than 3 equal Letters.

This Update corrects the Highlighting Logic to ensure that only the active Navigation Path is visually indicated, providing a clear and accurate Navigation Experience for Users.

[AEMPS-489](https://jira.eon.com/browse/AEMPS-489)

## 3.7 Fixed Businesscard Author Alignment Values (resolved "undefined" status)

We resolved a Bug in the Business Card Author Component where Alignment Options were displayed as Undefined. This Fix ensures that Editors can correctly select between Left and Center Alignments within the Styling Tab, restoring the intended visual Control and Consistency as defined in the Theme Configuration.

[AEMPS-451](https://jira.eon.com/browse/AEMPS-451)

## 3.8 Fixed Cookie Law Banner (CLB) reload/close Loop on iOS Safari

We resolved a critical Bug in the Cookie Law Banner (CLB) that caused a continuous Reload Loop on iOS Safari. By removing the Script Preload according to Third-Party Recommendations, we ensured that Safari fetches fresh Consent Data, allowing Users to successfully close the Banner after Interaction.

[EONWCMS-915](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-915)

## 3.9 Corrected Image Aspect Ratio Selection within the Stage Component

We fixed a Bug in the Stage Component to enforce correct Image Ratios within the Cropping Dialog. This Update restricts the available Options to a 2:1 Ratio for Desktop and Tablet and a 3:4 Ratio for Mobile, ensuring that Image Assets are displayed with the intended Proportions across all Device Types.
