## 4..42.0

## Information

Enhanced Component Policies

We revised our Component Policies. Policy updates are applied for all Content Only Websites but not for Solutions with Custom Development as they do have their own Component Policies.

Solutions with Custom Development will have to update in their Code Base, if they want to use the same Component Policies.

In Future we will work further on the Component Policies.

## Default UI-KIT Version

##### Default Version for Release: eon-ui-kit v_4.42.0

All AEM Releases are tested against a default UI-Kit Version, which is set in CAC MultiBrandMainConfig as **Fallback**. If CAC MultiBrandMainConfig is not set manually, then this Version will be set for your Website.

Solutions having their own UI-Kit (e.g. Suewag, Energiewacht) will always have to update manually.

## 1. Features

All Features will be documented in the Foundation Showroom (latest three Weeks after the Release).

#### 1.1 New Component: Before & After Slider

| This Feature introduces a new core Component that allows Editors to present clear visual before-and-after Comparisons using an interactive Handle. Authors can configure two separate Images with customized Text Labels that can be hidden completely via a Checkbox Toggle within the AEM Dialog. |

## 2. Enhancements

## 2.1 New Dimension Warnings & Tooltip Optimizations For Assets

This Enhancement introduces a red Warning Icon in the Assets UI if an image's Width or Height is under 15px or over 25,000px, alerting Editors that Smart Crops cannot be processed and advising them to select the Original Rendition. Additionally, all hover Tooltips now appear instantly, and small File Sizes are displayed correctly in KB instead of showing an incorrect 0.00 MB Value.

## 2.2 Fixed Mobile Aspect Ratio For Stage Component

This Update enhances an Image Ratio Issue on Mobile Viewports for the Stage Component. To ensure consistency with the UI Kit, the available responsive options have been updated to enforce a clean 4:3 Aspect Ratio specifically for mobile devices. Editors will find this optimized layout limitation reflected directly within the Stage Component Dialog as well as in the underlying Template Policies. The change resolves a layout bug and keeps the presentation uniform across both the standard platform branches and the new Dynamic Media Environments.

## 2.3 Default WebP And WebP Alpha Format Delivery For Images

This Enhancement configures Dynamic Media to automatically deliver all compatible Images as optimized WebP Formats and transparent assets (like PNGs) as WebP Alpha. This background change improves Page Performance without altering the day-to-day Authoring UI, while a built-in Fallback Logic automatically serves standard JPEGs or PNGs to older, incompatible Browsers.

## 2.4 Allowed File Type Enforcement (MIME Type Whitelist) for DAM

This Enhancement configures Dynamic Media to automatically deliver all compatible Images as optimized WebP Formats and transparent assets (like PNGs) as WebP Alpha. This background change improves Page Performance without altering the day-to-day Authoring UI, while a built-in Fallback Logic automatically serves standard JPEGs or PNGs to older, incompatible Browsers.

## 2.5 Accurate Dynamic Media Asset Status Indicators

This Enhancement updates the Dynamic Media Public Status Overlay Bar to accurately display the Publication State of newly uploaded Images. When Dynamic Media is configured to publish Assets immediately, the Overlay Bar on Pages, Experience Fragments, and within the DAM now correctly shows Assets as "synced" right after Upload instead of showing false "not published" Warnings. This background Logic Update prevents unnecessary Troubleshooting by ensuring Editors receive reliable Status Information across the entire Platform.

## 3. Bug Fixes

by Foundation & OPS Team

## 3.3 Adobe's smartcropedit.html can't handle its calculations correctly in Dialog

This Bug Fix resolves a layout issue where Adobe's Smart Crop Editor calculated incorrect Aspect Ratio Rectangles when constrained inside a smaller AEM Dialog Width. The interface has been updated to open the Smart Crop Editor in full-screen mode by default. This layout adjustment eliminates the underlying calculation bug, ensuring that Editors can visually crop images accurately while preserving the live Image Preview Refresh after any changes are saved.
