## 4.46.0

## Default UI-KIT Version

##### Default Version for Release: eon-ui-kit v_4.6.1

All AEM Releases are tested against a default UI-Kit Version, which is set in CAC MultiBrandMainConfig as **Fallback**. If CAC MultiBrandMainConfig is not set manually, then this Version will be set for your Website.

Solutions having their own UI-Kit (e.g. Suewag, Energiewacht) will always have to update manually.

## 1. Features

All Features will be documented in the Foundation Showroom (latest three Weeks after the Release).

#### 1.1 Configurable robots.txt Delivery via Context-Aware Configuration (CAC)

This New Feature introduces dynamic robots.txt Delivery managed centrally per Website using Context-Aware Configuration (CAC). Site Administrators can enable and edit robots.txt Content directly in the Site CAC without requiring static DAM Uploads or Deployment Pipeline Updates. The underlying Sling Servlet delivers configured Rules at /robots.txt with proper text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Type handling and automated Dispatcher/CDN Cache Invalidation, allowing domain-specific Crawler Control across multi-brand environments.

#### 1.2 Automated Frontify to AEM DAM Asset & Metadata Synchronization

This Major Feature introduces an automated Synchronization Integration between Frontify Asset Libraries and the AEM Digital Asset Management (DAM). Platform Owners can configure multiple Frontify Instances and map specific Libraries or Folders directly into target DAM Directories. The Synchronization Service operates idempotently based on stable Frontify Asset IDs, mirroring Folder Structures, updating Binaries, and mapping standardized Metadata Fields (including Expiration Dates, Copyright Rights, Usage Terms, Tags, and Author Information). Additionally, it handles Asset Lifecycle Statuses (such as Unapproved, Expired, or Deleted Assets) and updates Asset References across Live Pages automatically.

## 2. Enhancements

## 2.1MIME File Type Whitelisting for Digital Asset Management (DAM)

This Enhancement updates the System Whitelist for Digital Asset Management (DAM) to support additional File Formats. Content Authors and Solutions can now upload .json, .xlsm (Excel Macro-Enabled Spreadsheet), and .vcf (vCard Contact File) Assets directly into the DAM Container without encountering Upload Restriction Errors.

[EONWCMS-1478](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-1478)

## 2.2 Eager Loading Optimization for Hero Section Images

This Enhancement removes the*loading="lazy"* Attribute from all Images rendered inside Stage Components and the Hero Section across all Variants and Responsive Breakpoints. By enforcing immediate, prioritized Asset Loading for above-the-fold Content, this Update significantly improves Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) Performance and overall Page Rendering Speed for Website Visitors while maintaining existing *fetchpriority="high"*Handling.

[EONWCMS-1401](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-1401)

## 2.3 Optional Prefix Label for Steps Interactive Component

This Enhancemenet the UI Kit Prefix Functionality within the AEM Component Dialog for the Steps Component (renamed in the Dialog to Steps Interactive). Content Editors can now configure an optional Prefix Text Field to render contextual Information directly above the Step Title. If left empty, no Prefix Container is displayed, ensuring existing Component Implementations remain completely unaffected.

[EONWCMS-1333](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-1333)

## 2.4 Editor Warning & Guidance for Vimeo Videos in Stage & Content Header

This Enhancement introduces an inline Warning Message in the AEM Dialog for Stage and Content Header Components when Vimeo is selected as the Video Source. The Message explicitly informs Content Editors not to use Vimeo Videos for cropped Background Video Layouts, advising their use solely for Offset Videos within the Content Header. Existing Stage Configurations and Rendering Logic continue to function seamlessly without breaking live Content.

[EONWCMS-1424](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-1424)

## 2.5 Automated Social Metadata Image Fallback Hierarchy

This Enhancement introduces an automated Fallback Mechanism for Social Sharing Images (og:image) when no explicit Social Picture is configured in Page Properties. The System automatically evaluates available Assets in a defined Hierarchy (Social Picture $\rightarrow$ Featured Image $\rightarrow$ First Suitable Image from Hero Area $\rightarrow$ Open Graph Default Image). Images selected from the Hero Area are dynamically rendered via Dynamic Media with a $2:1$ Aspect Ratio ($1200 \times 600\text{ px}$), eliminating additional authoring effort while ensuring consistent Social Media Previews.

[EONWCMS-945](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-945)

## 2.6 Business Card Editor Compatibility for Experience Fragments

This Enhancement updates the underlying Component Policies governing Experience Fragments to enable the Business Card Editor. Content Authors can now seamlessly insert, configure, and maintain Business Card Components directly within Experience Fragment Templates across all supported Brand Environments.

[EONWCMS-1308](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-1308)

## 2.7 Social Icon Alignment Options in Footer Bar Component

This Enhancement introduces a new Social Icon Alignment Dropdown within the Social Links Tab of the Footer Bar Component Dialog. Content Editors can now select between Left and Right alignment options (right serving as the default Value) to flexibly adapt the footer layout to specific design requirements while keeping existing content entirely unchanged.

[EONWCMS-1332](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-1332)

## 2.8 Dynamic Media Integration Framework for Playground Environments

This Enhancement establishes a standardized Dynamic Media Configuration Approach for Static, Dynamic, and Hybrid Playground Environments (SDKs and K8s environments). It introduces a dedicated File Reference Provider configured via Site Config for test environments, enabling seamless fallback rendering for proxied DAM Assets (/content/dam) even when local Asset Instances are missing. This ensures consistent Image Rendering Behavior and reliable Testing Conditions across development teams without impacting production Asset Workflows.

[EONWCMS-1108](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-1108)

## 2.9 Dynamic Media Integration & Performance Optimization for Blog Header

This Enhancement aligns the Blog Header Component with modern Image Delivery Standards by integrating Dynamic Media for Press and Event Details Images. The updated Rendering Logic includes optimized fetchpriority Attributes to improve Page Loading Speed and ensure visual consistency across Mobile and Desktop Viewports, while keeping existing Authoring Workflows completely unchanged.

[EONWCMS-1370](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-1370)

## 2.10 Optional Icon Support for Accordion Component

This Enhancement exposes the UI Kit Icon Feature in the AEM Component Dialog for the Accordion Component. Content Editors can now configure an optional Icon (populated via Context-Aware Configuration) to create visually distinctive Content Sections. Additionally, an Expand Icon Position Alignment Field (left or right) is available to customize Icon Placement, while ensuring that existing Accordion Configurations remain completely unchanged.

## 3. Bug Fixes

by Foundation & OPS Team

## 3.1 Flexibel Offset Teaser "Small - 1:1 Image" - Image Issue

Flexibel Offset Teaser "Small - 1:1 Image" is the only Variant that has only a Desktop Image configurable. When switching from another Version to "Small - 1:1 Image" therefore, wrong Image was shown on Tablet and Mobile Viewports.

To fix that Issue, we added some Logic that ensures only the Desktop Image will be used for the "Small - 1:1 Image".

[EONWCMS-1489](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-1489)

## 3.1 AI-Generated Badge Configuration for Video Components

This Enhancement enables AI-Generated Content Marking for Video Assets across the Video Player, Content Header, and Stage Components. Content Editors can activate an AI Badge Overlay in the Video Configuration Dialog, customizing Badge Position and Color Appearance (light / dark) for all supported Video Sources.
