## 4.48.0

## Custom Domains for Dynamic Media Assets

Dynamic Media assets can now be served directly under your own website domain instead of scene7.com. This enhances brand consistency, clean URL structures, and SEO visibility while keeping Adobe Dynamic Media as the underlying high-performance CDN.

Setup Requirements: The implementation requires a lightweight CDN routing configuration handled via AEM Platform Support AEMPS and a simple activation toggle within the FoundationNG Context-Aware Configuration (CAC).

## Default UI-KIT Version

##### Default Version for Release: eon-ui-kit v_4.48.0

All AEM Releases are tested against a default UI-Kit Version, which is set in CAC MultiBrandMainConfig as **Fallback**. If CAC MultiBrandMainConfig is not set manually, then this Version will be set for your Website.

Solutions having their own UI-Kit (e.g. Suewag, Energiewacht) will always have to update manually.

## 1. Features

All Features will be documented in the Foundation Showroom (latest three Weeks after the Release).

#### 1.1 New FoundationNG Message Component

This New Feature introduces the authorable FoundationNG Message Component *(foundationng/message)*, wrapping the E.ON UI Kit Web Component. Content Editors can configure Message Headlines, Copy Texts, Color Schemes (e.g., error, info, success), Icons, and Dismiss Controls (*show-closing-x*). The Component supports flexible Content Slots (restricted to components like Bullet Lists, Buttons, Headlines, Links, and Texts), Fixed Positioning at the top or bottom of the Page, and an optional Auto Close Timer for automated dismissal.

## 2. Enhancements

## 2.1 Component Policies

This Enhancement improves Accessibility Compliance by dynamically transforming legacy and HTML tags into semantic and tags at Render Time across all Rich Text Editor (RTE) Components. The Output Filter automatically updates rendered Markup for both existing Content and newly authored Text (via an updated Semantic Markup Map) across components such as Text, Campaign Stage, Flexible Offset Teaser, Table, and Teasers without requiring manual Content Migration.

## 2.2 Editable elementID and toolID Tracking Parameters

This Enhancement improves Accessibility Compliance by dynamically transforming legacy and HTML tags into semantic and tags at Render Time across all Rich Text Editor (RTE) Components. The Output Filter automatically updates rendered Markup for both existing Content and newly authored Text (via an updated Semantic Markup Map) across components such as Text, Campaign Stage, Flexible Offset Teaser, Table, and Teasers without requiring manual Content Migration.

## 2.3 Configurable No-JavaScript Fallback Redirect via Site Configuration

This Enhancement improves Accessibility Compliance by dynamically transforming legacy and HTML tags into semantic and tags at Render Time across all Rich Text Editor (RTE) Components. The Output Filter automatically updates rendered Markup for both existing Content and newly authored Text (via an updated Semantic Markup Map) across components such as Text, Campaign Stage, Flexible Offset Teaser, Table, and Teasers without requiring manual Content Migration.

## 2.4 Default Value & Migration for Form Container Total File Size

This Enhancement introduces a safe default value of 6 MB for the Allowed Sum of File Sizes property in the Form Container Component Dialog. An automated Migration Script sets the default for existing Form Containers where no limit was configured, enabling Content Editors to save dialogs without validation errors while ensuring existing custom-authored limits are strictly preserved.

## 2.5 Enhanced Skip Link Feature for Accessible Keyboard Navigation

This New Enhancement replaces previous implementations with the E.ON UI Kit eon-ui-skip-link Web Component to ensure WCAG Accessibility Compliance. Site Administrators can configure accessible Skip Links centrally within FoundationNG Site Config (CAC) targeting #navigation, #main-content, and #footer sections. Features include customizable Labels, Aria-Labels, a Main Content Flag, and flexible visibility toggles while providing pre-configured defaults for seamless keyboard navigation across all Pages.

## 3. Bug Fixes

by Foundation & OPS Team

## 3.1 Headline Component Alignment Configuration for Existing Pages

This Bug Fix resolves an Issue where the Alignment Dropdown Options (left, center, right) were missing in the Headline Component Dialog when editing existing Pages. The Dialog Configuration now correctly resolves and renders available Alignment Options across all Brand Themes and Legacy Page Structures without affecting newly created Pages.

[AEMPS-744](https://jira.eon.com/browse/AEMPS-744)

## 3.2 New Relic Exception Log Resolution & Platform Stability Improvements

This Bug Fix addresses and resolves high-frequency Exception Logs in New Relic (including Null Canonical Link Handling, Social Media Helper Errors, Image Model Exceptions, and Script Body Resolution Failures). Resolving these recurring AEM FoundationNG Issues significantly reduces Log Noise, optimizes Runtime Stability, and prevents Unhandled System Errors across multi-brand Production Environments.

[EONWCMS-137](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-137)

## 3.3 Cloud Manager Deployment Pipeline & Security Hotspot Resolution

This Bug Fix resolves critical Quality Gate Blockers and Security Hotspots within the Adobe Cloud Manager Deployment Pipeline. Key fixes include removing Hard-Coded Secrets, refactoring PRNG Generators (BuildVersionModel), and resolving Serialization Smells (MulesoftServlet), along with fixing invalid Logical Conditions across core services (CUGHelper, SolrIndexerServiceImpl, InxmailSubscriptionServlet). Resolving these issues ensures smooth, compliant Build & Deployment Processes and stabilizes automated UI Testing.

[EONWCMS-136](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-136)

## 3.4 Sonar Quality Dashboard Remediation & Code Cleanup

This Bug Fix addresses reported Code Quality Issues and Code Smells across Java and JavaScript codebases on the Sonar Dashboard. Tasks included reviewing Blocker, Critical, and High Severity Issues, marking False Positives, and refactoring Variable Declarations (let/const usage), Literal Duplications, and complex Conditional Expressions. Resolving these items improves Maintainability and code robustness without affecting existing runtime functionality.

[EONWCMS-124](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-124)

## 3.5 Security Vulnerability Updates for Third-Party Dependencies

This Bug Fix resolves an Issue where the Alignment Dropdown Options (left, center, right) were missing in the Headline Component Dialog when editing existing Pages. The Dialog Configuration now correctly resolves and renders available Alignment Options across all Brand Themes and Legacy Page Structures without affecting newly created Pages.

[EONWCMS-118](https://jira.eon.com/browse/EONWCMS-118)

## 3.6 Solr Document Indexing & Search Results Resolution

This Bug Fix resolves an Issue where published PDF documents and asset files (e.g. on the E.ON Showroom) were missing from Solr Search Indexing Results. The Indexing Service now correctly parses and indexes document metadata, titles, and file contents, ensuring PDF documents appear reliably as clickable Search Results across published Pages.
