# FoundationNg Google Tag Manager Config

The FoundationNg Google Tag Manager Config is a Site specific Configuration for Goolge Tag Manager (GTM).

The Google Tag Manager is a Tool developed by Google that simplifies the Process of Managing and Deploying Tracking Codes on Websites. It allows Website Owners and Marketers to easily add and update Tags for various Purposes, such as Analytics and Remarketing, without the need for manual Coding.

### Usage

It is adviceable to do this only on Homepage Configuration Page, as GTM should normally be used on all Pages.

Use CAC only if it should be changed for just some Subpages.

### Options of FoundationNg Google Tag Manager Config

- GTM Active

If checked, Google Tag Manager will be active and the GTM Snippet will be included.

- GTM ID Client Side (Standard)

This is the Standard ID and will be used when the GTM Code is referenced. Therefore, Editor does not need to add Google Tag Script.

- GTM ID Server Side (Expert Mode)

This ID is **only used by Experts** in special Configuration.

- GTM Server URL (Only for Expert Mode)

Only needed if GTM ID Server Side is used, so also **Experts only**.

- Enable Consent Mode v2

This makes it possible to use Google's newest Consent Mode called "v2".

If the Feature is enabled, please also update the Consent Mode Settings in the Usercentrics Configuration.

- Wait for Consent Update

This defines the Time in Milliseconds that GTM will wait for a Consent Update from Usercentrics before Setting the Consent Variables to "denied". Allowed Values are 0 - 2500ms. This Setting is only relevant if the "Enable Consent Mode v2" Feature is enabled.

- Ads Data Reduction

When this Option is enabled and "ad_storage consent" is denied, the Identifiers associated with Ad-Clicks will be removed or obscured in Network Requests, thus enhancing User Privacy in Compliance with their Preferences. This Setting is only relevant if the "Enable Consent Mode v2" Feature is enabled.
