# Experience Fragment Handling

Experience Fragments are used for a Lot of Components, like [Web Navigation](/content/foundationNG/en/page-elements/web-navigation.html), [Third Level Navigation](/content/foundationNG/en/page-elements/3rd-level-navigation.html), [Footer](/content/foundationNG/en/page-elements/footer.html), [Modal](/content/foundationNG/en/content-elements/modal.html), [Google Maps](/content/foundationNG/en/specials/google-maps.html), and some more, as well as for [full Content Parts](/content/foundationNG/en/specials/experience-fragments-content.html).

- Can be used on multiple Pages
- Only maintained once for multiple Usage
- Makes Changes easier for Editors

### Create Experience Fragment

At first, Editor should navigate to the Folder of Experience Fragment Manager where the Experience Fragment should be created. There, Editor chooses Experience Fragment from "Create" Dropdown Menu.

This opens a Page, where Editor needs to select Experience Fragment FoundationNG as Template and click on Next Button.

Then, Editor can define the Properties, whereas Title Definition is mandatory. Furthermore, Name, Description, and Tags can be defined.

These Settings need to be confirmed by clicking on Create Button. Then, Editor can open the newly created and therefore empty Experience Fragment and add everything depending on for what it should be used.
For further Information, check the specific Pages of the individual Components in this Showroom.

#### Keep in Mind

- If no Name is set, it will be created from Title as it is used in the URL.
- If the Variations are used for different Language Versions of one Experience Fragment, ensure to enter the Language short form only as Name (eg. "en" for English, or "de" for German).

### Create different Variations

It is possible to create Variations of an Experience Fragment. They can be used for different Language Versions of one Experience Fragment.

Therefore, Editor needs to click on Create in left Sidebar and choose Variation from Dropdown Menu. Then, a Dialog opens where Editor at least needs to select "Experience Fragment FoundationNG" as Template and enters a Title. Beside that, Name, Description, and Variation Tags can be configured.

As far as the Dialog is maintained and confirmed, the Variation is created.
