# Language Copy

# Language Copy

A Copy from a Page Knot can be taken to provide these Pages in different Languages.

- Editor can make a Language Copy
- If there is more than one Language Knot then a Language Switch appears in Navigation

## Creation of Language Copy

### Select a Page

Select the Language Node Page from Content Tree and click on Create.

Then, a Dropdown Menu opens, where Editor needs to select Language Copy to make a Language Copy of the Page.

The Language Copy Option opens a Dialog with three Steps:

- Choose Pages

In the first Step, Editor selects the Page and decides if the Subpages should also be copied by using a Switch. Then, Editor can click on the Next Button for Confirmation of this Step.

- Select Target Language

In the second Step of the Dialog, Editor selects the Target Language(s) from a Dropdown Menu.

This means, Editor needs to select the Languages for which he or she likes to generate the Language Copies for. One or multiple Languages can be selected.

Then, these Settings needs to be confirmed by clicking on the Next Button.

- Decide for what to Copy

In the last Step of the Dialog, Editor chooses the Project Form. Recommanded Options for Copying Pages are:

- Create Structure only

With this Option, only the Structure of Pages is copied, but all copied **Pages will be empty**.

- Create Translation Project(s)

This Option is recommanded to be used for real Language Copies, as this will copy the complete Structure with Content as an **exact 1:1 Copy**.

Furthermore, Editor can add a Title and click on the Create Button for Confirmation of all Steps of the Dialog.

### Do Translation per Page

Afterwards, the Language Copies are created.

But Editor needs to translate every single Page manually as it is only a 1:1 Copy if Create Translation Project(s) is choosen. For Create Structure only, Editor would need to create new Page Content from scratch.
