[Info Icon Content End: info-icon-1] [Read More](https://www.eonshowroom.eon.com/en/specials/read-more-component.html) [Steps (View Event only)](https://www.eonshowroom.eon.com/en/specials/steps.html) [Bottom Drawer (View, Open, and Close Event)](https://www.eonshowroom.eon.com/en/content-elements/bottom-drawer.html) [Content Aggregator](https://www.eonshowroom.eon.com/en/specials/content-aggregator.html) #### IMPORTANT UPDATE To prevent **Double Fired Events** and streamline the **Authoring Experience**, the **Tracking Logic** for the **Website Navigation Hierarchy** has been completely refactored: - **Centralized Configuration Only:** **Tracking Options** must now **ONLY** be maintained on the parent **Web Navigation Component**. - **Removed Dialog Tabs:** The **Tracking Details Tab** has been explicitly **removed** from the **Editor Dialogs** of the **Flyout Link**, **Third Level Navigation**, and **Tab Navigation Components**. - **Automated Inheritance:** These sub-components are now automatically tracked via a separate backend **Tracking Module**, eliminating redundant manual entry and data discrepancies. ## Pre-Condition Enabled Servlet Path The Servlet Path has to be enabled on the Dispatcher. This might be already done on your Instance. If the Tracking works fine on the Author and Publisher, but not on the Public URL, this is most likely the Root Cause. Therefore, please create a Request for the OPS Team to create the needed Rule. If it is enabled Editor can open "datalayer.json" to see the Datalayer of the Page. This is needed to make Tracking work. Tracking Details Tab is normally the last Tab in Editor Dialog of a Component. Here Tracking needs to be enabled by activating corresponding Checkbox. #### IMPORTANT **ONLY** configurable by **Tracking Experts**! **Normal Editors** please **do not touch** this Tab! ![Add Tracking Events](https://www.eonshowroom.eon.com/cdm-assets/is/image/eon/tracking-02%3A3-4?fmt=webp) **Expert Mode only!** ### Add Tracking Events For each Tracking Event, Editor needs to click on Add Button and fill in the needed Tracking Data. These are: - Event Type Decide, if the Event should be triggered on View or on Click of a Link. - Journey ID Enter a Journey ID. - Event Category Enter an Event Category. - Step ID Enter a Step ID. - Promo ID Enter a Promo ID. - Promo Name Enter a Promo Name. - Promo Creative Enter a Promo Creative Text. - Promo Position Enter a Promo Position. - Custom Tracking Also one or multiple Custom Trackings can be added for an Event. For each a Tracking Key and a Tracking Value is needed. #### Be aware: Do not create double Fired Events Double Fired Events can happen if there are nested Components and for each same Events are configured, e.g. a Teaser with a Link in its Parsys and both having Click-Event configured. In such a case a Warning Message will get visible. ## Special Case - Breadcrumb Special Editing For Tracking Breadcrumb, only Checkmark in Enable Breadcrumb Configuration must be activated. That is the only Option for Breadcrumb Tracking.
